The People Behind Hotsource

Hotsource.com.au was founded in 2005. It was originally the brain-child of Sue Stanbridge and Wendy Lloyd Curley one Aussie and one Yank with a common love of music and a desire to create a true Australian music community. With the assistance of two very hard-working operations people, Sonia Ellis and Helen Young, and a keen photographer and reviewer, Jo Baxter the site has grown to what it is today.

Burgess Ventures Acquires Hotsource!

In 2009, Burgess Ventures acquired Hotsource with Sue and Wendy still involved at a strategic level. Both have moved on full-time to other business pursuits.

Burgess Ventures is well positioned to take Hotsource to a new level. Under the banner of A Red Letter Day, they organise band competitions and events. They also operate a booking agency and are the Australian representatives of The Global Battle of the Bands. (GBOB)

Husband and wife team Denny and Clare Burgess are the Directors of Burgess Ventures and together bring years of experience to music events from a management as well as a musician’s perspective.

Director, Denny Burgess has a long history in the Australian music scene, and is closely associated with many industry bodies and businesses within it. This extensive experience, along with his own personal knowledge as a performing musician, complement his ability to understand and deliver quality music services in Australia.

Clare Burgess   works as General Manager for all divisions of Burgess Ventures, looking after not only A Red Letter Day and Burgess Bookings, but also indie label Regal Records, Above All Secretarial and Denny Burgess Management. She is a music industry all-rounder, as happy editing artwork with an eagle eye as she is negotiating a tough deal on tour.

TechFlare

Without TechFlare, Hotsource would still just be just a bunch of PowerPoint slides and a vision. TechFlare is a group of guys in Parramatta who probably cringe whenever they get a call or a message from Hotsource. But they've been fantastic and without their hard work and perseverance we wouldn't have been able to have this great website.
