Music Starts: 7:00 PM

On the evening of Thursday July 31st, the biggest line-up of some of Australia’s hottest country music stars will be performing for Jamm for Genes, the music event in support of Jeans for Genes Day. This will not just the Biggest Country Jamm since Tamworth, but also a night of celebration and fun – all in support of raising funds for healthy children tomorrow. Cool country meets urban chic when The McClymonts take centre stage –Mollie, Brooke and Sam have the voices of angels and are rising through the charts and into everyone’s hearts, so we’re lucky to have them headlining the night. They will be joined by a veritable who’s who in Country Music; Catherine Britt (who stole Elton John’s heart) Nicki Gillis, Stacey Morris and Amber Lawrence who have wowed our servicemen and women on Forces Tours in Iraq and Timor recently. Australia Country Music’s Female Artist of the Year 2008, Dianna Corcoran, Golden Guitar winner Drew McAlister, hottest country duo Camille Te Nahu and Stuie French, Country heart throb Morgan Evans and the delightful Col Finley will melt your hearts with their melodies. Glenn Cardier, singer/songwriter extraordinaire, described by Glenn A Baker as a “National Treasure” will join the merry throng. The night will be presented by Jamm for Genes patron, Mr Glenn A Baker and will be co-hosted by the funniest wordsmith in Australia, Jim Haynes. The Yeehaa Boys are Australia’s only Country Swing band– whew what a line up! What a party! All artists will be ably accompanied by The Duncan Toombs band. If you’re a lover of country music, or even if you’re not, there’s plenty of cross-over happening on this night of nights. Get there early and have dinner in the bistro as the music starts early at 7:00pm. This day is a fund raiser for Jeans for Genes and helps to fund The Children’s Medical Research Institute in its quest to discover the genetic makeup of diseases like epilepsy, muscular dystrophy and cancer.
