Peeping Tom, Melbourne's kings of dirty, heavy groove rock, are joining Clutch (USA) and Budd (Oz) for the From Beale St To Oblivion Australian Tour.
Clutch met Peeping Tom last year at the Corner Hotel in Melbourne when they supported the bands first ever Australian tour. It took one show, and Clutch were sold, making a special request to have Peeping Tom support every date for their return to Aussie soil in 2007.
A reformed Budd will also be hitting the road for the From Beale St To Oblivion Australian Tour, creating a line up that promises to shake, thunder and roll its way into history.
Don't confuse this Peeping Tom with Mike Patton's project - the Australian one's been around since 1998. For those in the know, Peeping Tom is one of Australia's best live rock gigs. For those who haven’t experienced them yet, this is your opportunity.
Peeping Tom are the real thing - massive sound and quality brown delivery. The band's 2002 EP 'Sav Rocker' set the tone with its heavy, blues-laden riffs. Then came 2004's self titled album - acclaimed in the international heavy rock underground...
"Peeping Tom are a brightly burning torch to the pyre of mediocrity in heavy music. If you thought their first EP was good, check this out! With material this strong, Peeping Tom are a band to go and see live if you ever get the chance!"
~Dave E Destruction, Roadburn, Netherlands www.roadburn.com
"Sav Rocker was a hell of a taste of things to come. You need to own this album."
~Arzgarth, Editor-in-chief, StonerRock.com USA www.stonerrock.com
"When you say you're a "heavy" band the immediate connotation is aggro, screaming metal. But there's so much joy in Peeping Tom's music, it's like catching a wave and riding with it but not knowing where you're going to end up..."
~Phil Kaberry, Beat Magazine Australia www.beat.com.au
