Hotsource has been instrumental in introducing a number of artists and bands to the Forces Advisory Council who organise tours for our Aussie troops overseas.

The ABC is covering one of the tours, on Australian Story. The first episode was shown last Monday evening and the second episode will be screened next Monday the 19th at 8:00pm

The first of two documentary episodes covers the group of "home-grown entertainers" – including the Wolverines – entertaining our troops during 15 "jam-packed" days in the Middle East earlier this year.

"Australia has a proud history of entertainers visiting war zones to lift the morale of our troops," the ABC says. "On the face of it, a tour of Afghanistan and Iraq would not appeal to everyone. But this program is about a group of entertainers who did step forward to sign up for the journey. They were rewarded with the ride of a lifetime."

Also on the trip were Angry Anderson, Brielle Davis, comedian Fred Lang, Ami Williamson, MC Tania Zaetta and the 12 piece RAN (Royal Australian Navy) Band.
