National Music League

How To Vote

  1. Artist/Band’s accumulate the most points by playing NML Unregistered Gigs, and NML Registered Gigs. The latter are best, because that’s when lots more points can be gained by the audience voting.

People wanting to support an Artist/Band at a gig, should buy their tickets online (it’s cheaper than at the venue). To pre-purchase a ticket (which also serves as a voting card), you simply need to go to the Registered Gigs section of the National Music League site. Once there, just choose the correct city, then click the Buy Tickets link beside the gig that the Artist/Band is performing at (check the date and venue first!).

  2. In addition, fans can contribute to the Artist/Band’s NML points by texting the Artist/Band’s Voting Code to 1999 9474. Each Artist has a unique Voting Code...you can find this out via the Artist/Band, or by emailing nml@hotsource.com.au with [Artist/Band name] Voting Code Request in the subject line. (NB -SMS voting is subject to a fee).

  3. Email voting is also easy – just send an email to nmlvotes@hotsource.com.au with the Voting Code in the Subject Line (only one vote per email address per week).

  4. Online voting is really for fans or musicians who subscribe to Hotsource. It costs nothing, and it’s a great music site to be a part of, but it is just necessary to set up an account first so that you to get your username and password happening. Then, so long as the Artist/Band has also registered with Hotsource, you can go to their page can click the Vote For Me On NML tab (only one vote per day per account). From the Hotsource homepage, an Artists/Band’s page can easily be found by typing their name into the search box and clicking the link that comes up.
